The building is in a convenient Hongdae spot, but it wasn’t perfectly clean—there were some mold spots on the walls. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the price‑quality ratio felt a bit unfair. The mold, the noise at all hours, especially during rest times, and the overall lack of cleanliness were noticeable.

If you take the airport shuttle to Hongdae, exit 6 or 7, it’s about a fifteen‑minute walk to the guesthouse, which is pretty close. The guesthouse is tucked into a lane and stays quiet at night, so you don’t hear outside noise. Inside, it’s clean and bright. However, if you need to use the subway or bus, you’ll have to walk a bit—around ten minutes. On weekdays, the lane is dark at night, and the building’s lower floors feel a bit gloomy, which can be scary for solo travelers, though nothing bad happened. The room door is a standard wooden door, so corridor sound insulation is poor; you can hear the door slam, hallway chatter, and even TV noise from the corridor. Luckily, I stayed on the bottom floor; otherwise, rooms on the outer side would pick up constant noise from the shared kitchen, laundry, toilet, and shower. The guesthouse is a bit old; the corridor ceiling has mild mold marks, and the room’s wallpaper is peeling, but it doesn’t affect the stay. The old air‑conditioner emits a slight odor when you stand near the vent, and the oscillating fan is quite loud. All in all, you get what you pay for.

A tiny room was just right for a single night before heading to the airport.

The room was small but clean and comfy, with enough gear and a hair dryer that works for long hair; the public areas stayed tidy. The lack of a mirror or vanity table made getting ready a bit tough, and I wouldn’t recommend entering the building through the garage entrance when you have luggage.
