Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was a disaster from start to finish. As soon as I stepped inside, I was hit with a nauseating stench that lingered throughout my stay. The receptionist was polite but struggled to communicate in English, and the elevator in the lobby was out of order. I specifically requested a non-smoking room, but it was clear that someone had been smoking in it before. The room had no windows, and the air conditioning was likely last cleaned months ago.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's central location in Makassar, which made it easy to explore the city. The hot water and air conditioning were also a welcome respite from the heat. My only gripe was the tiny size of my room, which felt cramped at times. Despite this, I was relieved to find no bedbugs in the room.
