I truly felt glad to have come to Okinawa for those four days. The food was fresh and delicious, the hospitality relaxed, the view of the sea was beautiful, and the owner’s passion shone through at ZARATAN. Because it’s a pension style, people who need full privacy might prefer a hotel.

The couple running the inn were very pleasant, kind, and attentive, which made the stay enjoyable. It was a bit disappointing that the bath was only a shower; I managed to heat it up a bit and it felt good.

Even though it was winter in Okinawa, the room temperature and humidity were comfortable. The location was great, and the meals were outstanding. The owner’s cooking was healthy and delicious, and he tailored breakfast to our picky child’s tastes, so we ate well. He shared plenty of tips about drinks and sightseeing, which was reassuring, and his responses were quick, so I had no worries. I would have loved a bath, though.
