“Good stopover before or after crossing the border.”
The terrace offers a view of the Orange River, and the manager was friendly and informative.

The spot right beside the river was lovely and the vibe was chill, but the chalet could use a bit of upkeep.

The team were incredibly warm and helpful, the facilities were spot‑on, and the location was perfect.

We enjoyed a calm, peaceful stay at Orange River Rafting Lodge, a real escape from the hustle of cities. The lodge offered a restaurant and bar, a pool, and a laundry room, which made everything convenient. The staff were very welcoming, and every chalet had its own braai area outside. Our chalet was roomy, had a fully equipped kitchen, and air conditioning. We appreciated that the lodge welcomed pets, a big plus when traveling with a furry companion. There were no TVs in the chalets—only at the restaurant—but that break from screens actually made the stay even more relaxing. The lodge sits about 10 km from the Namibia border control, making it a great stopover before crossing. Overall, we loved our time there and would definitely return, hopefully for a longer stay next time. The only downside was the absence of TVs in the chalets, but that actually added to the peaceful experience.

The pool didn’t meet cleanliness standards.
