The location was fine, but the building is old and needs renovation; the advertised breakfast turned out to be pre‑packaged biscotti.

The structure was distinctive, with few rooms but very welcoming; nothing was wrong, everything was perfect.

Mary and the Mariposa Hotel Inn are the treasures of Mariposa; we initially worried about being too far from Yosemite for a two‑day visit, but after a scenic drive past isolated lodges with no amenities, we were delighted to stay at this historic inn. Mary, the owner, was friendly and professional, Sally kept our room spotless and fully functional, and we loved the antique furniture. Mary offered a light breakfast on the rear balcony, presented beautifully, and the hummingbirds entertained us.

The place is very cute, right in the middle of a lovely town; Sally the innkeeper is friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate and the bed the comfiest we’ve had on our road trip, and the only thing we wish was to have stayed a little longer.
