Close to the station, dinner and breakfast were good and plentiful, the room was spacious and the futons were comfortable. The bathroom is a little tight, but the onsen on the upper floor makes up for it.

The place was spotless, the food tasty, and the staff friendly. No complaints.

The breakfast was hearty and delicious. We stayed as a family of four in a roomy room that had two sinks and two toilets, which made it very comfortable. The location was perfect for us beginners in Nara, with a convenience store right in front of the station and a Daiso on the opposite side of the shopping street. In the large bath, there were many kinds of shampoo to choose from, which was fun. The wifi worked well and we could stream videos without any issues. I highly recommend the crepe shop called wakakusa cafe near Shirashikou, it was really good. The most historic Japanese confectionery shop in Nara, Kikuyas, is right next to Shirashikou and the sweets were amazing, so I bought souvenirs there.

The cedar bath in the large public bath was a highlight. The breakfast was cheap, the toilet space in the unit bath was tight, and the large bath was unavailable in the morning.

We wanted to experience a traditional setting, without any luxury.
