The gentleman on the phone was extremely friendly, making communication smooth, and the key lockbox worked well for picking up and returning the key; however, I stayed in the unit opposite the apartments and a young tourist accidentally opened the front door while looking for her flat, so that could happen to anyone, and a malicious guest might take advantage of that knowledge. The cleaning lady also opened the front door without knocking, though she was pleasant. The bathroom mirror wasn’t fixed at all, just leaning against the wall, there was a large stain on the headboard and spider‑webs in the kitchen. This accommodation is fine for a backpacker passing through but not for those who care a lot about safety and hygiene – think of it as a very basic hostel with no bath soap or shampoo; one night is enough.

“Water damage ghosted cancellation”

I liked being scammed here, a cheap lesson for the future. The host was told about the suite problem, said there was water damage, we agreed the host would cancel the booking, we found a new place last minute, but the host never cancelled, and when challenged started dodging about us changing our plans because “event” (I don’t even know what event we were supposed to attend, we were going to museum) was too far. Anyway, I requested free cancellation, it was ghosted I’m probably never seeing the money. If there’s one word to describe this experience it’s SKETCHY AF.

The proximity to the bakery and the highway was good. Unfortunately our room was a smoking room. The strong nicotine smell was very unpleasant and noticeable throughout the room. The bathroom also didn’t convince us; it was very cramped, the sink was leaking, and the shower was both very small and had an unusually high entrance. At arrival there were already problems with the key safe. The initially provided code didn’t work to retrieve a key. After a phone call we received a new code and finally the key – but it was for the aforementioned smoking room. The building is also very noisy, so conversations and other guests’ sounds were clearly audible. After the long journey we were too exhausted to look for another accommodation, so we decided to stay despite the shortcomings. Overall the stay did not meet our expectations.

The apartment was incredibly clean and the host was extremely polite and respectful; I’d definitely stay again.
