A beautiful place with incredible views and close to nature, even a chance to see marsupials. The hosts were friendly. The location works well for the Hartz Mountains National Park and the Hartz Peak walk. Provisions, including eggs (+microwave egg recipe), were nice and thoughtful. The overall vibe was peaceful. Be mindful of the limited food options when staying.

The place blew me away with its quirky layout – private nooks, a little reading library, and an outdoor deck with chairs and a table. Even in mid‑winter we appreciated the hot water, solid heating, and a tiny kitchenette where the host actually showed me how to whip up decent scrambled eggs in the microwave. The host is an artist with a lot of personality, which added a nice touch. Nothing really bothered us; it was private, comfy and we had zero complaints.

From the moment we arrived the host made us feel right at home, paying attention to every little detail to keep the space cozy. The room itself was comfortable, and the views that stretched out from the windows were simply stunning.
