It’s easy to reach and quiet, but the dinner window felt a bit tight.

Breakfast was reasonably good, and our room was very spacious and quiet with excellent beds; the balcony suited two people and the bathroom’s floor‑level shower worked well. The hotel sat in a quiet area not far from De Koog’s centre. However, we missed a selection of salads (like meat, poultry or herring) and various egg dishes (fried egg/omelette) at breakfast. In the room there were too few easily reachable power sockets, only a German TV channel, no seat cushions for the balcony chairs, no facial wipes in the bathroom, and the hair‑dryer was weak – we had to use the cupboard dryer and plug it in the room because the bathroom lacked a suitable socket. The toilet was unusually low, and there was no complimentary mineral water; these issues should be addressed in a 4‑star property.

“We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in jullie hotel en Texel is zeer mooi, absoluut een aanrader.”

Cleanliness was the top priority for me and it was excellent; the bathroom and room were very tidy and all the other areas were well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was well prepared, though a bit more pre‑sliced fruit would have been nice. No complaints at all.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean; the hotel’s location is convenient and quiet, and breakfast is varied and well‑prepared. However, it was hard to find staff in the dining area who spoke English.
