The staff here were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to help us.
The pool was absolutely stunning, and the room was beautifully decorated.
The natural surroundings and pool were definite highlights.
The view was amazing if you like the countryside.

“Boa piscina”
The air‑conditioning in the room worked flawlessly and the saltwater pool with loungers and plenty of shade was a highlight that really defined our holiday. The host was friendly and made us feel welcome, and the property’s security—gate, cameras, and a private parking spot for our car—added peace of mind. However, we were stuck with the Tarantino room, which is tiny, opens directly onto the bed, and lacks a wardrobe; the only storage is a small hook that can hold a few coats. The kitchen, though equipped, is cramped and we had to wait for other guests to finish cooking before we could use it, assuming everyone wanted to dine at the same time. There is an outdoor table for meals, but if you don’t want to share space, you end up eating on the bed. I once saw a couple set up a garden table inside the house so they could eat without the heat; their room was slightly larger, allowing that. The beach is a 15/20‑minute drive away and is secluded yet quieter. I’d call the place modest, not luxurious, and the décor and comfort are not upscale. Towels are not changed automatically; you must request a change, and during our 5‑night stay we never had a single set of sheets or a bed change unless we asked.
“A SONHAR NO CAMPO”
Everything was great—four fantastic days. The hosts were very friendly and professional, the covered parking was a big plus, the place was incredibly clean, the pool was lovely, towels were plentiful, the gym was good, the kitchen was usable, and the nature and silence were perfect. The distance to nearby beaches and excellent restaurants was short. Thanks and congratulations.
“Tempo para recarregar energias, no silêncio da natureza, com uma piscina espetacular!”
A perfect spot for a nature escape in the quiet Alentejo, with rooms and a pool that matched the photos exactly. The property is well‑maintained and ideal for those looking to relax. We were lucky to have the pool almost to ourselves. There are several restaurants nearby. The host was friendly and took care when preparing a breakfast that was not included in the booking price but was paid separately during the stay. It was worth it to enjoy a meal made on site with the host’s thoughtful touch.
The hotel is a 5‑minute drive from Grândola and 25 minutes from the beach, set in the quiet village of Pico, with friendly hosts, comfortable rooms, and only four rooms total so shared spaces never get crowded; this was our second stay at MontePico and we hope to return.

The kitchen was too small.
