Bernina Express Eco Rooms&Breakfast

I liked how close the hotel is to the center and the station, and the breakfast was really good, but the stairs were a bit of a hassle.

Because we received an upgrade to a suite, it’s hard to comment on normal rooms. The view from the 5th floor is pretty nice, but you have to walk from the 4th to the 5th because the lift only goes to the 4th. One of the two bedrooms has a fridge. The staff are very friendly. Somehow there’s an issue with the restaurant exhaust; the bathroom smelled like a kitchen even with the window closed. Breakfast was rather thin and barely enough.

“Scenic trip on the Bernina Express through the Unesco listed area, with one night in St Moritz.”

We stayed two separate nights after catching the Bernina Express Train. It’s very close to the train station, which is very convenient, and there are a few restaurants nearby. The first night was in a nice room in a nice building with a lift, the second night was above the restaurant. Although the second room was larger (an apartment), the lift only went to the floor below and we had to climb an extra flight of stairs to reach our room. We are two female friends and, even though I requested two single beds, the second night only a double bed was set up. We also had to pay to store our luggage for a day until we returned.

“A good cheap option for an overnighter.”

Very central for the station and the town. It was basically a room at the top of a private block of flats rather than a hotel or BnB

The place was spot on in terms of location, internal vibe, room space, and décor, and everything else was fine.
