“Wer nur ein Bett braucht...”
Checking in 30 minutes early was possible without extra cost; the check‑in was quick and informal. The room and bathroom door were briefly shown and the key handed over. For check‑out we were told to simply leave the key in the room and go. The building looked like a construction site from the outside, with scaffolding around the house, bridges between balconies, and a crane on the courtyard, so the view was limited and we weren’t informed about this. There was no hand soap at the bathroom sink; when I called about it I was told “No, we don’t have that here,” which was annoying because we didn’t bring it. To get from the room to the bathroom you have to exit the room, walk through the hallway to the opposite side, so you need to bring pajamas. With kids it was cumbersome at night: you unlock the room door, lock it from outside, take the key into the bathroom, lock the bathroom, then reverse the steps. It was already annoying, and with children it was even more. We had two rooms; one was drafty, so we had to ventilate before sleeping. A busy street was in front, which also disturbed us at night when the balcony door was open. The balcony door jammed and I was afraid it would break when opening or closing. We didn’t use the kitchen.
