The welcome was very warm, and the hosts gave great advice. The shared bathrooms were undersized, and the room was a bit small.

We absolutely loved our stay at Auberge de la Rive. The property has a lot of charm, with a stunning vintage atmosphere and especially a superb view of the river. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful walks right by the water and many hiking options nearby. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and fully equipped, just like the bathroom which had all the necessary amenities. We also especially appreciated the quiet of the place at night. A special shout‑out to the staff and owners, who were extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, always ready to help! We also dined at the lodge’s restaurant and what a lovely surprise! The menu, which changes with the available products, wonderfully highlights regional ingredients. Everything we tasted was delicious. The establishment even makes its own sourdough bread and pizza dough—it’s a real treat! The next morning we used the communal kitchen to prepare breakfast. Everything was impeccably clean and well organized. The common room is also very pleasant. In short, an excellent address we recommend without hesitation. Between the charm of the place, the river view, the calm, the quality of the restaurant, and the friendliness of the staff, everything came together for a superb stay. We would return with great pleasure!

The spot is close to Ile aux Coudres, which I liked, but the accommodation could use a bit of affection.

The staff were welcoming and ready to give advice, the smell of bread in the morning, the cozy inn vibe, the real kitchen where you can actually cook with a proper fridge, and the place was clean. The room was a bit too small and offered little room for luggage.
