After a flight got cancelled, I booked two rooms for myself and my 96‑year‑old mother. I called to confirm the booking and was told it was fine and I could arrive whenever. At about 11pm I learned only one room was left because EasyJet had overwritten our reservation. I had to find another hotel near midnight and I’m still waiting for a refund. The front desk also arranged a taxi for me to the new hotel, even though I was about to order an Uber for 15 euros. The taxi company, which has a contract with the hotel, had no meter and charged 40 euros for an 11km trip.
