“It was good”
Breakfast offered a good variety of dishes and having coffee available all the time was a plus. The fire alarm in our room was just hanging off the wall, which felt odd.

The bed was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was too small; I had to take the toilet paper roll off the holder to sit on the toilet. I killed a cockroach in the bathroom and had to step beside the toilet to shut the door. The lighting around the sink was dim. Breakfast was worse than at Bootcamp, with a broken pancake machine. I spoke to someone at night to confirm my booking and ask about check‑in time; she said 1 pm would be fine and rooms would be ready at no charge (normally 3 pm). However, the day‑shift staff wouldn’t let me check in at 1 pm without a $25 fee; 2 pm was acceptable. I left and returned. Friday night I stayed at a nearby Hampton Inn, which was far better – that’s the comparison point since I’d booked months ago but there were no rooms, so I came early and booked there because that’s where the wedding party was. The pool had been drained, so I couldn’t swim anyway.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is close to IUP, though several other hotels are nearby, so we won’t return; we stayed here only because the Hilton we usually use was booked for the weekend. The overall cleanliness of the room was awful. After a 4‑hour trip, we didn’t ask for a room change. A dirty washcloth was draped over the shower curtain rod, clearly left there for a while. There were hairs on the tub and what looked like powdered creamer all over the coffee station. A lid for a coffee cup was present, but there were no coffee cups in the room – only plastic water cups. A strange light sat atop a stand‑alone closet; we couldn’t find a switch to turn it off. While reaching for a switch on the closet, I accidentally touched the light source and got a small shock. We called the front desk to locate the switch and were told to look for a tiny button “somewhere near the closet.” It turned out to be a tiny, dime‑size switch on the side of the closet, the same color as the closet, which looked like a screw holding the closet together. No one would have found it without help. At 11 am, check‑out time, we were at the front desk with about 10 people waiting, yet no one was there. When a woman emerged from a side room after another guest rang the bell for assistance, I was shocked that she was the same woman from the evening before. She clearly should have had help. Finally, the hallways on the 3rd floor smelled like weed.

Was given a room that had ONLY hot water and then wanted to change our room to a king bed for 2 men that were NOT a couple. So the best that they could do was give us the key so that we could shower in a separate room than ours. We literally had to wait 10 to 15 minutes just for that water to get partially warm! We paid full price for this room and never did they state that they would give us a discount for inconvenience. Very poor customer service! Would not recommend this hotel
