A warm welcome, fabulous food, and a comfortable room.
“Lovely memories made at Arch House”
A warm welcome from the hosts and a beautifully prepared breakfast with plenty of options. Jeffrey kept us entertained with his stories!
“Rosemary made us very welcome. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and we made use of the outdoor seating and hot tub”
It was like home from home. A little dated
“Für eine Nacht okay, aufgrund des Preis-Leistung-Verhältnisses würde ich die Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen.”
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the location is cheap if you want to visit Marble Arch Caves or the Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail (stairway to Heaven), which are only a few minutes by car. During my stay, the hosts’ dog had just had puppies and I even got to look at them, which was a really nice and special experience. On the downside, my room (Nr. 5) didn’t match the photos and felt older than the other rooms. It was quite cluttered and overall dated, and the bathroom looked worn out. The shower took a long time to get warm. A few minor details also hurt the overall impression, such as a spider web on the window and a dead fly on the sill. Those alone wouldn’t have been a big deal, but together I didn’t feel especially comfortable in the room. I also expected more from the breakfast. I was given a menu and chose grilled cheese on tomato toast and pancakes with maple syrup, sugar, and cinnamon. The pancakes arrived without any maple syrup, sugar, or cinnamon. I found the breakfast overall not very convincing. For the price of €140 per night for one person, I personally expected more. The value for money didn’t match my expectations.
“Excellent stay”
The breakfast was excellent, the room was brilliantly clean and the hosts were lovely
