This is a charming old guesthouse. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Marlene was an excellent host and showed us the other parts of the guesthouse. The breakfast was exceptional. Secure off‑road parking was available through a remote‑controlled gate. The drizzle was a downside, but Marlene said that was outside her control.

The breakfast was hand‑prepared to order and personally served by the owner. It was part of the experience to sit in a comfortable dining room and be served in an old‑fashioned way. The variety was exciting and set you up for the day. It was also part of the experience to have our luggage taken by the staff from the parking to our room and then collected at the end and returned to our car.

The hosts were friendly and helped with luggage, the breakfasts were wonderful, and the location was excellent.

I couldn't have had a better stay; the owner was attentive and charming, the decor beautiful, breakfast exceptional, and I’ll definitely return.

The meals were excellent, dinner was offered on the second night, and the accommodation great, though the beds were a bit soft with a bouncy mattress.
