Two weeks with our two teenage kids and the dog turned out to be fantastic at Andy and Simone’s place. It’s not a luxury resort, but it’s a complete spot that has everything you need. The breakfast each morning was delicious and flexible with timing, and the owners’ local tips were super useful. The quiet setting has a large garden (not fenced, so the dog could run freely) and nearby lakes for swimming where dogs are welcome. It’s great that towels and bedding are included. I highly recommend it for a relaxed holiday in Saint‑Jean‑d’Avelanne! The hot tub didn’t work, and some boards on the terrace were loose or raised, which could be dangerous. Also, the access road is sharply curved and steep, giving little visibility, so the approach felt quite tense and unsafe.
