My husband and I spent 12 nights at the Marinos Beach Hotel this September, and we honestly had just but positive experiences. In our opinion, this place easily beats its 3-star rating. First of all, I have to mention the reception team—they are truly the heart and soul of this hotel. We really want to thank them for being incredibly kind and helpful from the moment we arrived and throughout our entire stay. A huge thanks to Marios, who is just an amazing, fantastic person! But really, all of his colleagues—Irini, Michalis, and Alexandra—were exceptionally sweet and helpful too. We’ve stayed at higher-rated hotels before, but we’ve never experienced such attentive service and never met such genuinely nice people. The hotel has a great location right on the beach, and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. One thing we absolutely loved was the Nespresso machine in the room and also absolutely loved the spacious terrace with its sea view. They provided coffee capsules every day, and you could ask for as many as you wanted at the reception for free. The restaurant was also spotless and really nice, with fresh, delicious food and a great variety. The pool water was crystal clear, surrounded by a lovely, well-kept garden area with free sunbeds and an outdoor restaurant. The beach itself is clean, and the sunbeds and umbrellas are free for hotel guests, except for the very first row, which costs €20 a day. But honestly, any other row was perfectly fine for us. You aren't allowed to bring your own food and drinks to the beach, but you can order anything right to your sunbed from the beach restaurant and pay by cash or card on the spot. Just a heads-up: the beach is pebbly, the water gets deep quickly, and it can get quite wavy. I’d definitely recommend wearing swim shoes. It’s not ideal for toddlers, but there’s a sandier beach just about 100 meters away. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, high-quality, and peaceful beach getaway!. We have not had any negative experiences

The staff were genuinely nice, especially the woman who greeted us at night—big thanks to her. The location was great, the room was tidy, and the pool area was clean and tranquil. We’ll definitely return to this hotel next year.

Starting with the positives: the hotel has a very good location, plenty of good restaurants, a street for strolling, and the old town is easily reachable by bus. The adjacent beach is also nice. Our reception was very friendly; we were greeted immediately even though our taxi driver dropped us off in the wrong spot. Overall, the lobby staff were all very friendly and spoke German. The new part of the hotel—lobby, dining area, and bar—is beautifully designed. I can’t comment on the new rooms because we didn’t stay in them, so I’ll move to the negatives. The worst thing was the overall hygiene. At first glance, the room looked okay, nothing more or less. The bathroom offered almost no storage, even though we didn’t have much stuff. There was only a fixed hand soap, which is fine, but there was no shelf for it, so the soap stayed on the sink for a week and the sink was never cleaned in that week. Once we were on the balcony while the cleaning lady was in the room, she was there for less than 10 minutes. She swept with a broom, wet‑mopped, sprayed something on the toilet that made it red, and then left. She also moved the bed and removed the cover, exposing the mattress (photo). That was the height for us, and we just wanted to leave! The whole room always felt damp; everything was slightly wet—really disgusting. That affected our sleep. The air conditioner couldn’t be turned on during the day to counter the dampness because there was only a room key. We also had three days of bad weather and had to spend more time in the room than we liked, and we’d have preferred to feel comfortable. Additionally, on another day the cleaning lady “fixed” the “blanket” (it’s just a sheet) and tied it with my pretty colorful skirt, which was ridiculous—my skirt was so crumpled I couldn’t wear it again. By the way, I was always cold at night and wanted a normal blanket. There was a heavier cover in the closet, but it was stained and so dirty that I had to sleep with my beach towel. That’s a lot about hygiene. I should have received a refund for this experience! As for breakfast: we are early risers, breakfast starts at 7:30.

The spacious, modern rooms with a lovely shower area were great. Nothing else to add.
