Well cooked breakfast, staff happy to help, good selection of choice. The light next to the bed didn’t work; it had to be switched by the door, so I couldn’t see in the dark – an issue. The plug underneath didn’t work.

The place is in a great spot and looks pretty, but the bedrooms feel worn out – the socket next to the bed is dead, so I couldn’t use a lamp, and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall. Most of the beers and lagers were missing from the bar, there was no ice at all, and the last orders were taken at 9.30 pm. With a bit more care it could be a lot better.

I loved how easy it was to get around the local area and the broads, and the food was fantastic. The only downside was that our toilet flush didn’t work.

The location is great and the staff are friendly, and the dinner was lovely. However, breakfast was a real disappointment – it wasn’t worth the money, offered no variety, and had no fresh produce, which you’d expect for the price. The breakfast room and pub had dead flowers on the tables, the hallways looked tired and gave a bad first impression, the wallpaper in the room was peeling, and the bathroom was bland and needed a touch of care.

The hotel was very convenient for families, and the staff were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious. But the rooms felt worn out and the bed was uncomfortable. There were only a few plugs, and none near the mirror for drying hair. The bathroom was tired. Checking in was a maze, though the building itself was charming. The Wi‑Fi was rubbish and stressful when we needed to book journeys. The young man at the bar was very helpful, and the value for money was a bit high compared to the central London Ibis that included a full English breakfast.
