“Leider stark in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig.”
The hotel with half‑board feels very old and in need of renovation. While showering, the sealant in the separate shower fell off. I had to wipe the sink quickly with a cloth. The food was disappointing for Italian standards: cappuccino comes from a neglected machine, not the bar. There is only one toaster for all guests, and everyone tweaks the temperature, so a lot of toast burns and ends up in the bin. Otherwise, the breakfast was standard: croissant, brioche, cold cuts, cheese that sticks to the platter, ham, yogurt, muesli, fruit. Freshly sliced tomatoes and cucumbers were missing – the first time in 20 years in Apulia that happened. Cleanliness in the dining room was only average. On the bright side, the staff tried very hard and had no control over the situation – that’s a big plus! The shuttle to the sea worked perfectly. The entertainment was rather dull for us. In conclusion, we’ve stayed in many 3‑star hotels with half‑board in Apulia over 20 years, and we haven’t seen anything like this. With a modernization, a lot could be done. That’s our sober opinion – those with lower expectations might manage. For us, it had nothing to do with enjoying a holiday.
