Located 100 metres from Oberon Street's restaurants, shops, and services, Highlands Motor Inn features rooms with flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, and free car parking. The inn is 4 minutes' drive from Oberon Golf Club, 30 minutes from Jenolan Caves, and 50 minutes from Bathurst. Rooms include 2-seater sofas, dining areas, and tea/coffee facilities, along with en suite bathrooms and quality toiletries.

The rooms were clean and well appointed, and the outside smoking area was great.

The location was okay, and the room and facilities were good. I stayed for 5 nights and only requested service twice. The rubbish bins were not emptied, toilet rolls were not replaced, no spare rolls were provided, tea and coffee were not refilled, tissues were not replaced, there was a shortage of power points, and the office hours were inadequate.

The location was fantastic, just a short walk to shops, restaurants, and more, and the Royal Hotel is a must‑visit for dinner. The area was very quiet, the bed was super comfortable, and I slept soundly thanks to the excellent blackout curtains. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and everything needed for a short or long stay was available. We made our own breakfast, and the microwave and toaster were handy. I highly recommend this hotel. The only downside was that the hot water took a while to arrive, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about.

The hotel is in a good location on a quiet street. The bed was comfortable with nice bedding, and there was a good amount of kitchenware for eating in.
