The Tmark Hotel Vaticano faces Vatican walls and museums entrance. Art Nouveau-style décor and free WiFi throughout complement classically furnished rooms with flat-screen TV, minibar, and private bathroom. Most rooms overlook Vatican Museums or historic walls. A buffet breakfast is served in the bright dining room. The hotel offers a Vatican-view terrace, lounge bar, and private parking, and is close to Ottaviano Metro Station and St. Peter's Square.

I was disappointed that the Bar advertised on the website stayed shut the entire 4‑day stay, and the elevator was broken the whole time, forcing my 82‑year‑old mother to climb three floors of stairs—an unacceptable situation. The breakfast was awful, and they charged extra for it, which felt like a joke. The hotel also promised a rooftop bar that never existed. Overall, it was a complete lie.

The hotel’s spot is brilliant because it’s right opposite the Vatican museums, and the only thing that made the stay worthwhile was an absolutely amazing front‑desk lady (dark‑haired with glasses) who was incredibly helpful with maps and everything. The hotel itself feels old, tired, and looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1500s; there’s no iron anywhere, no blankets, the rooms are dark (maybe they’re trying to hide something), the shampoo/bathroom supplies were ridiculous, and there was a questionable brown gel in a bottle with a big printed label. Overall, it wasn’t what I paid for.
