“Enjoyable stay at a comfortable and friendly B&B.”
The spot was spot on for Lincoln and the surrounding spots, and the rooms were really spacious with a nice bedroom and a bath/shower combo. The building itself is quirky and about 400 years old, which was cool. Plenty of street parking and the village itself had a nice vibe. Julia was super welcoming and gave us great tips on where to go. The garden was huge; we spent one night there with a glass of wine, trying to spot bats, and it was so quiet. Evening food options were plenty in the villages and Lincoln itself, and we especially liked the Grain Store at Doddington Hall—it's not cheap but worth it. Lots of places to visit from here, so we’ll definitely come back when we’re in the area again. The only snag was that we couldn’t get poached eggs (my partner prefers them) and instead got scrambled eggs. We weren’t asked daily for breakfast preferences (no menu to see) but the food was good, and there were cereal and juices too.
