Even the three‑star hotels in Cuba felt cleaner than this B&B. The breakfast was raw hot dogs and an old vegetable tray, and the fridge smelled like sour milk. The bathroom was a mess—broken glass on the wall, a cracked soap dish, dirty bath mats, and a broken screen door—so I didn't feel safe taking a shower.

The neighborhood was quiet and the breakfast was solid, but the place got crowded quickly. We had to share the dining area with a lot of other guests, which made it noisy. Still, the food was decent and the location was nice.

Breakfast was a feast: fruit, veggies, dips, meats, cheeses, breads, croissants, buns, cookies, jams, coffee, milk, cereals—everything we could ask for. The bed was comfy, the shared bathroom was almost always available, and the shower was easy to use with free toiletries. The place was spotless and the staff were friendly.
