The place is perfect with a great view and a good bed. After high season, every facility was closed, but if you know this in advance it won’t be an issue.

The property feels quaint yet a bit dated, and the castle view from the room was really nice. Only two rooms had castle views, and the ground‑floor room felt like a fishbowl because a busy walking path looked straight into it. We enjoyed a fabulous room service experience, but the upstairs room had an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom that we couldn’t pinpoint—whether it was the water, toilet, or something else. We were aware it was slightly off‑season, yet the staff were not very visible.

The staff were friendly and the surroundings pleasant. The moving breakfast table required us to hold it with our legs. Breakfast and spa times were not coordinated; breakfast started at 10 am and took an hour to finish. We missed the booked spa because we had to leave the hotel at 12 pm. When we ordered a tasting dinner in the restaurant, the staff didn’t inform us that the 7‑course menu (95 eur.) was meant for one person only, and we had to split it between two people. We were shocked to see a bill over 250 eur. The website states that the 7‑course tasting is for two people, not one. In conclusion, everything must be asked in detail.

The place was the most liked; from the window you could see Trakai Castle, which was very beautiful. The hotel was comfortable, clean, fragrant, and cozy. The only complication was with dining services—there was no dining in the hotel itself, so we had to find another place for dinner, breakfast, and the spa. Although the description mentioned that the morning was reserved for guests, we didn’t get into the spa because it was already booked for others, even though the morning booking didn’t require a reservation.

The hotel is very lovingly decorated and full of charm. Its location is perfect with a view of the Water Castle. Nothing to add.
