The room offered a view into nature and was close enough to Breisach to walk to. We didn’t book breakfast, but the room had a kettle with tea and coffee sachets. Our bicycles were stored in a separate lockable cellar.

The place was perfectly quiet, the garden was stunning, the house was well kept, and it felt authentically Alsatian.

The staff were helpful and the place was safe for storing bicycles. The view from the garden‑side rooms was quite nice. The room was cleaned, yet it still had deep, persistent stains typical of older properties – moldy shower joints and dirt in the corners. Everything feels excessively cheap, from the blankets to the toilet paper to the disposable paper tablecloth in the breakfast area. The double bed was somewhat small, and the Wi‑Fi didn’t work.

The staff were very welcoming, the location was good, and the room was clean. The downside was the sewer‑like smell in the bathroom.
