The place where the houses are is gorgeous—a farm with animals, lots of trees and greenery, a bit away from the village but not far, and the peace you could feel everywhere.

Spending a few days at Finca Casaes turned out to be a wonderful experience. The cute apartment was well equipped, with a nice decor, a comfortable bed, a kitchenette, a small fridge, a good bathroom, a Smart TV, and more. The villa’s setting (huge, by the way) in the middle of nature was fantastic, full of peace, and we were joined by its animals: horses, ponies, sheep, chickens, turkeys, and many cats (all too cute). The apartment pool was a delight: small but perfect for its purpose, a special spot to sunbathe, swim, and relax. We booked the spa and it was totally worth it – we loved it, especially the massage tables. There is also a small gym, which is a great option if you want to stay active. The staff were a perfect 10: very pleasant, attentive at all times, and they had several nice touches that made our stay even better. Our little dog also had a great time there. The homemade oil was fantastic. We would definitely come back, and I hope to do so in the future because a stay like this in nature stays in the heart. Nothing we didn’t like, but we’d like to add a couple of details. We think it would be good if the apartments had a brush and a broom (we didn’t see them), especially if you cook there and travel with a pet. Also, we couldn’t use the barbecue because of fire risk. That seemed completely normal and we agreed with it, though we would have liked to know beforehand because we had bought it especially for that. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The apartment was very spacious and the facilities were well maintained. There were many animals, and the kids loved it. The kitchen had an electric stove next to the sink, leaving hardly any space to cook or wash. All the facilities were closed except the pool. They offered drinks for purchase, but the reception and bar were closed, so it’s better to bring everything you need. The pool was quite small and raised, not suitable for young children. Children around 1 year old were “free” at first, but there was no crib or bed for them, so they slept with the adults or you had to pay an extra for a crib/bed.

When we arrived, the door handle was already badly worn and broke after opening it two or three more times, so we left it on the table to avoid further damage. Pets are allowed for an extra €20; I brought a well‑behaved 10‑kg medium‑sized dog and was required to keep it leashed on the grounds (which is normal), yet the property also lets a mastiff roam free, which they claim is gentle but was constantly hanging around our door, making it impossible to leave the apartment. I tried walking my dog at night, only to find every light on the estate—porch, streetlamps, everything—switched off, so I had to use my phone’s flashlight. They charged almost €200 for the air‑conditioned apartment and a walk through a desert‑like area, with most other facilities costing extra (unusual but understandable). I booked a 1‑hour‑30‑minute spa session for €25 per person but cancelled the same day because my companion felt ill; the owner still tried to make me pay the fee, which annoyed me, though I eventually gave in. There’s no parking; they offer a spot in front of the bar, which is a huge sand pit that makes getting to a restaurant impossible in that heat. Five days later I received a €200 claim for damages, with photos of alleged damage that I completely deny. In short, it feels like a total scam—being charged for everything, even breathing, and they accept pets only to charge extra later.
