“Super-friendly & attentive Staff. Fabulous Onsen Facilities!”

The staff, both Japanese and Aussie, were super‑friendly and helpful; the onsen and sauna were fantastic and a must‑try after skiing. We got a satisfying breakfast for skiers included in our room rate, and the ski locker room was warm and convenient with easy pickup and return of ski‑hire to Rhythm Wadano. We could walk or ski to the nearest chairlift, and there was also a morning shuttle and an evening shuttle to Happo One/Echoland for dinner. Thanks a lot, we really enjoyed our stay. Nothing negative – the facilities and service matched our expectations, the star rating and price were right for 10 nights in Hakuba during February.

The staff were lovely and the guest facilities were great. The onsen was super relaxing after a day of skiing. The only downside was that the property is a bit far from the main town, but the staff are very helpful with a shuttle bus.

The staff were terribly rude! The place was dirty – I found a used contact lens on the bed rail.

“不快”

The front desk was stylish and clean. The onsen felt good and breakfast was generous. The website said the ski resort was a 3‑minute walk, but it was nowhere near that. I had requested a twin‑room with a TRP, but I got a 2TWN. The front desk quickly set up the bed, but the room was the opposite of what they said. We had to move our own luggage, which was a hassle. Water and towels were not brought to the TRP room as requested. When I asked the front desk for a map to locate the hotel, they didn’t give a clear answer. They told me the shuttle bus stop was somewhere else, so I had to walk up to the parking lot while still wearing skis. The restaurant had taken my phone reservation and told me they weren’t taking reservations that day. Finally, my ski board sent via courier never arrived; when I called Yamato, they said they hadn’t received it. Yamato asked the hotel, but it stayed in the warehouse. The phone apology didn’t feel sincere. I know the hotel is struggling after COVID, but this was a paid trip during a holiday season, not a cheap stay. It was our first trip to Hakuba, a once‑in‑three‑generations family vacation. Some staff were very caring, so I give it a 2, but I honestly don’t want to stay here again.

“Good times”

The Onsen and the staff were excellent ! The daily pow helped a lot also :-). Price was quite high and it would be nice if the hotel shuttles could drive to some resorts other than nearby Happo
