“Great place close to the station.”

The location is superb for the train to Edinburgh—just creep the road and you’re there. The staff were really helpful and allowed me to check in early so I could spend the day in Edinburgh. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, what more could the Monorene.heart of man desire? If you’re after a Mercure, you’ll be disappointed, but if you want somewhere clean and comfy to sleep in, with excellent access to Edinburgh, you can’t go wrong with the. Breakfast! 🤣😂🤣 They don’t do breakfast! I’m sure you could pick one up somewhere in Galashiels, but once I’m moving, I tend not to.

Great location both for the station and the town. It’s good to have a car park as it saves the hassle of finding a space elsewhere. No breakfast available, so it’s not really a B&B.

The hotel sits just a short stroll from the city centre and makes it easy to walk to the Great Tapestry of Scotland.

“What a great find!”

The welcome was lively and friendly, and both the entrance and the room were spotlessly clean. The spot is excellent, with off‑road parking that’s a real advantage, especially since the railway station sits right across the street. The Great Tapestry of Scotland is within walking distance and definitely worth a visit.

The place is clean and offers a tea and coffee station, and it’s well positioned near high‑street restaurants and cafés; the train station is also nearby. Parking, however, feels a little cramped.
