The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and the food was simply good, offering something for everyone; it was busy too. The hotel itself looked fine at first glance, but there were signs of neglect. Unfortunately we slept in an annex; the room was large but smelled of smoke and other stuff. We asked for a different room, but the answer was an immediate “no”; they didn’t even ask why we wanted to change rooms. The front‑desk staff didn’t seem very nice.

A spacious room with plenty of storage and a table fan, which was helpful with the current heat. The host was very friendly, the staff were polite, and they dealt quickly and smoothly with a problem that had apparently been caused by the guests before us.

The location is very good if you have a car; it’s only a few kilometres to the city centre of Steyr. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel is very clean. We also ate very well at the attached restaurant.
