We went to Tehachapi to see my son, and when his work schedule kept us from staying with him we managed to snag the room at the last minute for a reasonable price. We really liked the balcony because the mornings were cool, letting us sit out there and enjoy the breeze and the view. The staff was very helpful and lovely. We returned for a second night at the last minute again, and got the same room so it felt like home. The only gripe is that the carpet in some of the common areas is obviously worn and in need of repair.
