We enjoyed the peacefulness of staying away from traffic and noise, with only typical farm sounds and beautiful views—from mountains and fynbos to dams and tree plantations. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and the fresh produce they offer is delicious. The stay was too short.

The place was absolutely quiet, letting me reconnect with nature and take lovely walks that felt peaceful; the dogs had a blast, and we enjoyed fresh milk, butter, cheese from the cows and free‑range chickens, plus the nightjars’ call in the evenings as a nice bonus—definitely coming back.

The owner, Ilona, is a warm and welcoming host who goes out of her way to make you feel at home. The house itself is a beautiful, rustic retreat that's perfect for those looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. But be warned: the location is so peaceful and secluded that you might find it hard to tear yourself away.

We had a fantastic stay at this place, thanks to Klaus and Ilona's warm welcome. The location is perfect, with breathtaking views of the farm and mountains. We loved the little surprise of the fresh figs, and we're already looking forward to trying the breakfast next time. However, we did find the shower to be a bit cramped for an amputee, and the cottage could've been cleaner, but we understand it was a Saturday and maybe they were busy.

The farm's fresh produce was a highlight of our stay - the butter, eggs, milk, and honey were all delicious and straight from the farm. The owners were super friendly and made us feel at home. We also loved the opportunities for great walks in the surrounding area. Our only quibble was that we didn't know the cottage was so close to the main house, and during summer it can get a bit stuffy in the room, so a fan would be a nice addition.
