Getting to the hotel was easy, and the old town is relatively close. The room was the right size, well equipped, and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, with a wide variety of treats to enjoy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has its own private parking. In short, everything was perfect – the ideal choice if you’re looking to relax!

Driving takes about 15 minutes up into the city or to the sights. There were parking spaces available, though they were not secured. A great pizzeria 15 minutes on foot offers tasty take‑away pizza. The room is very old; the wallpaper behind the bed has already peeled. A toothpick was found in the bathroom (not ours) and a stray hair in the shower. The bathroom light is very dim, which made it hard to see. The focus is more on the spa; the gym has only three machines amid the steam, making exercise difficult because of the humidity. Using the pool or sauna costs 40€! For the price and the good reviews, I expected more – a disappointment.

Breakfast was good, but the Italian portion was surprisingly small. The room we got did not match the pictures of the bathroom shown at booking, and the description never mentioned that the window looked out onto the back‑yard parking area.
