I came just for a night over Valentine’s Day weekend and had dinner at the property. The food was insane!!! The best dessert I’ve had in years, and I’m in culinary school. The stay was super comfortable, with plenty of fun products and serums to use, heated floors, and a great library room where we thumbed through books on local attractions. It was a wonderful night.

The whole hotel is maintaining a super high standard, including the room, bathroom, lobby, and restaurant and café. The Madeira tasting in the lobby was a great start upon revival. Overall, we agree with all the superlatives from other reviews. Really nothing. Everything worked so seamlessly.

The property is exceptionally pretty, well maintained, and a 200‑year‑old inn. It’s close to town, but you do need a car.
