“金額に見合ってないと感じてしまいました”

I appreciated the late‑night snacks and the welcome drink, but overall the stay left a lot to be desired. As someone who’s booked many places, I expected higher quality for the price. Kyoto’s reputation may justify the rates, yet the service, food, and hospitality felt more like a half‑price hotel. The staff’s smiles were nice, but their language and attentiveness could have been more polished. The meals weren’t bad, but they didn’t deliver the “unique experience” I’d anticipate at this price point. The dinner course’s explanations were a bit terse, and while the in‑room service was good, I wish they’d use gloves for those with long nails. Some staff were genuinely pleasant, but for a property at this rate, I’d hope everyone could provide a more thoughtful, engaging “omotenashi” that makes guests feel at home in Kyoto. As this was a special occasion, I was especially let down. I hope future guests see a level of service and care that matches the cost.

“Memorable hotel”

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they even catered to our no‑pork diet right from the moment we checked in, offering sweets and tea at the reception. The only downside was the stairs – they’re narrow with high risers, so climbing them when exhausted was a real hassle; a bit of carpet would have made a big difference.
