“Great place let down by the bed”
The apartment was a good size with a nice backyard area, the host was great, and the pilgrim meal in the evening was delicious. The memory foam mattress was hot and uncomfortable, and it made aches and pains worse for most pilgrims.
“I loved it!”
The 5‑bed dorm room had only women, the bathroom was gender‑separated, the kitchen was small but sufficient for cooking, the common room was a great spot to hang out or eat, there was a small pool for soaking feet, and the owner even added a large chunk of ice. I was there on Sunday when most stores were closed, and the owner gave the grocery store hours and posted the names of a nearby restaurant and a cafe. Check‑in was at 13:30; a little earlier would have been nicer.
This albergue had a very welcoming staff. Loved that at dinner (which was delicious) four single callers were seated together. It made for lovely and fun conversation and I ended up meeting two new friends and have our paths cross again and again. Definitely would stay here again
Everything was perfect, and the owner and staff were very nice.
“Un oasis en el camino en Castrojeriz”
Me encantó la amabilidad y sencillez y alegría de los dueños, eran malísimos. Los ronquidos de otros peregrinos pero eso es común en todos los albergues
