“Underwhelming.”
We enjoyed the breakfast, the pool, and the help from Meddero the maintenance man. I had requested a week in advance a fridge that could keep breast milk for my baby girl, but the room fridge wasn’t cold enough; we asked for another one and the maintenance man brought it up for us, yet it couldn’t reach the right temperature quickly. All the temperature‑adjustment nozzles were broken on purpose, and I needed needle‑nose pliers to tweak it. When I raised this with the front‑desk lady after calling twice, she looked visibly irritated, as if we were pulling her from her phone screen in the tiny office next to the main desk—a terrible hiding spot that seemed to frustrate her. The only solution offered was to keep the milk in the kitchen fridge on the first floor, which was inconvenient since we were on the sixth floor, but it was something. After several hours and using a gallon bag of ice to help, the fridge finally worked for the duration of our stay. I must shout out Meddero from maintenance/janitorial for being the only person who seemed eager to help, didn’t make us feel like a bother, and followed up to ensure everything was fixed.
