Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and generous. The location was very central. The host was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely recommend it 😁 The only downside was that the towels were synthetic.

The staff and the hotel’s interior are really good. They serve a typical continental breakfast: coffee/tea, croissants (plus focaccia since we’re in Italy!) and yogurts. There are also many groceries nearby if you want to buy extras. The rooms have air conditioning and small personal fridges. The location can be seen in two ways: on one hand it’s a historic centre, close to the port, subway, part of the university, one of the train stations and many palazzos, which is very convenient. On the other hand, the narrow streets around, compared to other Italian cities, felt unsafe (or at least not safe every evening).

The room was clean and welcoming, and breakfast offered both sweet and savory options. The owners were helpful and friendly, and the location was very strategic: 3 minutes from the aquarium/old port, 5 minutes from Piazza de Ferrari, and the San Lorenzo Cathedral. Unfortunately, the area was quite unsafe, with narrow alleys that taxis can't reach and a strong unpleasant smell coming from them; at night it becomes especially dangerous, especially for women, which makes evening outings difficult.
