The owner let us check‑in a few hours early, which was really kind and convenient. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable, and the bedding was really nice. The bus stop is right in front of the property, making it easy to travel to and from the hotel. Keep in mind there’s a pub downstairs, so you may hear some noise until 11 PM. The location is also a 25‑minute walk from the centre, which you should consider if the bus schedule isn’t convenient for you. Other than that, it was perfect.
The city centre was about a half‑hour walk away, and the room was clean. The booking didn’t show that the room was above a pub, so we heard terrible music until 23 00 and a billiards table under the room. It was very noisy. We were told we would have a garden view, but that wasn’t the case; our room faced the road with a high wall, and behind the wall was a cemetery.
Everything. Location, friendly host, spacious room. Bus stop outside so could get bus into Bath or get Uber in easy. V nice cafes and bakery in next street. Everything ideal. Not a problem for us but the garden room we were in door opens literally into the nice beer garden, so if teetotal or want to sleep from 9pm probably not the room for you. Was quiet from 10.30/11 on Friday and Saturday nights with great music playing and chilled friendly atmosphere up to then
Char and the team run a lovely and lively place. The room was really nice and the pub downstairs was amazing. The music from the pub could be heard all the time, but it wasn’t really a big deal.
“Highly recommend”
Very clean and fresh. You can tell Char takes pride in her establishment. The bus to the city centre is literally outside the hotel, and it’s a 15‑minute ride to the city centre and train station. No complaints.
