We really enjoyed staying at the Grande Hotel da Barra. The location is superb, facing the beach and near tourist attractions and walking options. The breakfast is very good, the service is attentive, and the room is comfortable. These details make a difference for anyone spending the day exploring the city and wanting a good rest when they return to the hotel. It was a positive experience and we recommend the stay for anyone looking to visit Salvador, especially the Barra area.

The location is excellent, at the start of the boulevard with plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a nice pool, the breakfast is good, the room is spacious, and the beds are excellent. The whole place feels dated and needs maintenance: the towel rack was loose, the door was heavily damaged, and the AC leaked, requiring a technician. Overall, I felt the price was on the high side. Still, we had a pleasant stay.
