I was really pleased. It’s a place I want to return to. I never felt like we were alone there. Super.

The property itself looked nice. The customer service was terrible; when I went to the spa, neither the infrared sauna nor the steam sauna worked during the two days I stayed. Breakfast didn’t meet my expectations, the Wi‑Fi in my room was dead, and the front desk wouldn’t give me a credit for the non‑working saunas.

“They tired to charge extra fees and it was like being in the hotel from “The shining””

The room was roomy and the bathroom had great fixtures. Breakfast arrived too late for us to eat it. The resort felt deserted because there were no other guests, and we left at 2:30 am when the whole exterior and parking lot were pitch black. No exterior lights were on, so I had to use my phone to find my car. The lack of lighting was extremely inconvenient and dangerous, especially while carrying bags in the rain.

“used as staycation, we live in area. Reachable, safe, great rooms large and comfortable.”

The room, pool, activity room, and spa facilities were nice. The trails across those acres could be better developed. Breakfast service was short‑staffed; if the style is wrong, opt for a buffet. The food was good but the service was off. The grounds had a bad smell—geese or cats? Inside the building was fine.

The front desk staff—Jonathan and Michael—were very nice and professional. The waitress Sumner and her assistant Tom were also good, pleasant, and personable. The bathroom ceiling paint was peeling and brown from stains, and one vanity sink was missing its drain stopper. After telling Jonathan at the front desk, the issue still wasn’t fixed after two days.
