This small, cute homestay sits right on the beach, but during the low season the rooftop is neither maintained nor functional. The owner is kind and gentle, and he explains everything clearly to help guests. I’d love to visit during peak season when there are more activities and crowds. I didn’t follow his kayaking suggestion because it was pricey and not the best guide, and I also declined his auto (tuk‑tuk) recommendation since I could find a cheaper option elsewhere; the owner took that feedback well and seemed eager to improve. I tried to travel by local bus, but the stops were far from the homestay, so I had to pay for a tuk‑tuk.

The stay was amazing, especially with Fredy being the best host. The location is perfect, right by the beach. The shared spaces—kitchen, living room, garden, and the café on the roof—are lovely, except the roof café shuts down during monsoon. Boy, the dog, is the cutest. Booking backwater tours was straightforward.
