Elysee Hyde Park, London, is nestled 100m from Hyde Park in a tranquil village-like area. The hotel offers bright, modern rooms with ensuite bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities, in-room safes, hairdryers, and working desks. Located near three metro stations - Lancaster Gate, Paddington, and Queensway - it's close to Oxford Street, Westfield Shopping Centre, and famous landmarks, with the Mitre pub opposite.

The location next to Hyde Park and Paddington Station was convenient, and breakfast was reasonably good. However, the room was very small, there was no luggage storage, so we had to find another place to keep our bags, and the room was definitely overpriced.

Everything was excellent, and nothing was lacking.

The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I've ever had, and the nighttime quiet let us keep our windows open. The bathroom was spotless and well equipped, and the shower was enjoyable. Getting to the West End was easy by bus from just around the corner, and we only used the tube once because, despite having a lift, it only goes partway up and my husband struggles with stairs. Breakfast was adequate, not spectacular, and there are plenty of better or cheaper options nearby. We liked walking to Hyde Park and grabbing coffee at the Italian Gardens café, which is a short stroll away. Paddington Station and the canal, where you can sit with a drink and watch barges, aren’t far either. The lift is handy for my husband, but you must walk up a short flight of steps to reach it, and the lift doesn’t reach the breakfast room, so you have to descend and then climb steps. I was a bit startled by how sensitive the shower handle is; it can suddenly turn the water extremely hot or cold.

The hotel was great, but everything else was a bit of a let‑down.
