We were thrilled with our time on Green Island: snorkeling off the reef and spotting turtles was fantastic, and the sunsets were gorgeous. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the food was very good. Daily activities like the guided beach‑clean walk and the glass‑bottom boat with a marine biologist added a lot of value, while the guest pool offered a peaceful daytime retreat and the nightly sunset drinks were a nice touch. A few staff members seemed a bit annoyed by our questions, and the resort’s exterior looked run‑down compared to the beautiful rooms. The buffet breakfast felt pricey; a complimentary barista coffee per person might justify the cost.

The resort is pricey, which is understandable given its location, but the food prices were surprisingly high. A $44 charge for a mediocre buffet breakfast was excessive, and the evening meal was also expensive though acceptable. Our room was excellent, and it’s clear that maintenance focuses on guest rooms, but the outside of the buildings looks faded and sad. The excursion boats need a thorough cleaning and annual antifoul treatment. The staff, especially the marine biologist who guided my snorkeling, were all excellent. I’d recommend a long day excursion rather than staying at the resort. The general condition of the outside buildings is disappointing.

The buffet breakfast was excellent, and the staff were amazing. We toured the back‑of‑house with Teal and Steve; she was very knowledgeable. It was fascinating to see how the island’s infrastructure is set up.

Living on the island was so relaxing, especially at the end of the day when everyone else had already left. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. I loved watching the fish feed and the green sea turtles. I highly recommend staying if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway. The only downside was that I couldn’t stay longer.
