We spent two nights at Finca Montecera and were absolutely delighted. It’s a tiny paradise tucked in nature just outside Jardín’s centre, perfect for those seeking peace and an authentic Colombian finca vibe. The property is surrounded by lush vegetation, plenty of green space, and hummingbirds everywhere, giving a real sense of being in a separate world, away from noise and fully immersed in nature. Our room was lovely, welcoming, and clean, and breakfast was always plentiful. Hospitality was a real highlight: every staff member was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful during our stay. A special thank you to Alba, Juan, and Alejandra for making us feel truly welcomed. We especially enjoyed the coffee‑related experience. An activity was already included in the stay, but we opted for a more comprehensive tour, and it was absolutely worth it. Alba and Juan explained not only coffee cultivation and processing but also many aspects of the local territory and culture, then guided us through the finca’s plants. Both were very knowledgeable and passionate. It’s also great that the property has a real coffee laboratory, adding authenticity to the experience. The finca is about 10 minutes by tuk‑tuk from Jardín’s centre. The last stretch of road is unpaved, so a bit of patience is needed, but that wasn’t a problem for us. Tuk‑tuks arrive directly at the finca, and staff always offer to call one for dinner or to reach the town. In fact, being slightly out of the centre is one of its strengths: it lets you enjoy a peace and nature contact that’s hard to find elsewhere.

The rooms, the rural finca feel, the flowers and birds, breakfast, and especially the good service were all great. Everything was excellent, but the road isn’t very good and there are no signs to guide guests to the hotel.

If there is a paradise in Colombia, it’s here. The room is spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and super plentiful. All the staff are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend taking the finca tour; it’s a fantastic experience that teaches a lot about Colombian coffee culture. Huge thanks to Alejandra, Alba, and Juan, who passionately share their love for their profession. We were truly happy to have stayed here!
