Staying there felt like being in the inn that Tora-san from “Fūten” would pick on his trips—full of Showa‑era charm. The flooring, however, could use a little improvement.

The owner was incredibly kind and made a genuine effort to communicate with me in English, making me feel welcome and at ease. However, I should note that the location is not particularly close to the station, so you may need to rely on public transportation or a taxi to get around.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, which is conveniently located near the Kasumiura Marathon venue. The proximity to a large public bath and various dining options made it an ideal choice for me before the marathon. However, I must admit that I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use the hot tub after the marathon, which would have been the perfect way to unwind. Despite this, I would still highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and amenities.

However, it wasn't a bad feeling at all. The lodging itself felt like a facility used for school club training camps, which brought back a sense of nostalgia. The surrounding area has plenty of restaurants and a supermarket right in front, making food and daily needs no problem.
