“Opulent hotel near Windsor park; attention to detail could be higher”

1) spa facilities, particularly the open-air swimming pool, 2) opulently refurbished hotel, including the dining areas, 3) location near Windsor park. 1) very limited options for twin bed rooms, 2) narrow wardrobe stuffed with various objects (even a yoga mat), leaving insufficient space for clothes, 3) the salt room in the spa would have been perfect for relaxing if not for its multitude of loudly slamming doors

“Beautiful building - attention required on finer details.”

The Fairmont’s building and décor matched what you’d expect from the brand, and the spa and gym were truly exceptional. My room, costing £500 p.n., faced a dull staff‑only area that looked like a gathering spot for hotel employees day and night; I woke twice to staff shifting and chatting there, which really needs fixing. The Brasserie is a nice touch, but its wine list was disappointing—after trying at least six reds and whites, none were drinkable, and the waitress and other staff seemed clueless, claiming the sommelier was absent and nobody else knew about wine. This level of service is unacceptable for a hotel of this stature.

“Nice property but not great value”

The property had just been renovated, but the price felt high for what was offered: staff could have been friendlier, the grounds were in poor condition with brown grass, breakfast lacked variety, and the wellness area was too small and not well separated.

“A beautiful luxury stay – perfect for a special occasion and definitely somewhere we would return to.”

The hotel and its surroundings were absolutely stunning, with rooms that were spacious, comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. The facilities were excellent and the overall vibe was luxurious yet relaxed. We stayed for my son’s birthday, and it felt like a truly special treat. Nothing significant went wrong; we only stayed two nights and wish we had booked longer.
