“Daily plumbing related problems”
You’re alone in the palmeraie on the outskirts of Tozeur. Sitting by the pool, you can watch the surrounding nature—palms, frogs, and four small dogs or puppies playing around the property. The owner was very nice, communicative, and tried to help as much as possible. The internet connection was good. The water supply was a nightmare: no running water from 5 pm to 8 pm every day, followed by a half‑hour daily drill to let the owner vent the pipes and restore the flow, plus other plumbing issues. This place was the most expensive Tunisian property we stayed at, and even if it were cheaper, these problems would be unacceptable. You’re isolated on the outskirts of Tozeur, and the door couldn’t be locked from the inside. Several adult dogs and the four puppies roamed the palmeraie, sometimes barking intensely at night, which was a security concern. There was a camera above the entrance door, and frogs were in the pool.
