The place was spotless and the staff were fantastic.

The cleaning lady—who was the only staff member on site for a few hours—was incredibly helpful. We never learned that room entry required a PIN sent to our email, so after a long trip we couldn’t get into our room. The cleaner had to call the owner, who was in Queenstown and not on site, because no one was there to greet or assist guests. Everything was handled with PINs and key boxes, none of which was mentioned on the website or during booking. We felt no hospitality, and when a room was finally assigned it wasn’t even the one we had booked. I hope this isn’t the norm for other motels and it certainly isn’t a good welcome for overseas visitors.

Communication was great, the location was perfect, and the unit was very clean and bright. Nothing else bothered me.

The rate was good, but there was a bit of noise coming from Bealey Ave. Otherwise everything was fine.
